The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed about the large amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The assistance point produced for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with sassa the office to attend to all people who go to a more info service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
